This small building moved to the Idaho Botanical Garden in 1986. Two physicians purchased property on East Bannock Street in Boise in order to build an office there. They donated the existing structure to the Garden, who had it transported and installed on a new foundation. It was the Garden’s first administration office. The current office is located outside the gates in what was the prison’s warden’s office built in the early 1950’s.
The Cottage now serves as a dressing area for bridal parties. It also houses the Garden Store.
Behind the Cottage is a double-wide portable Classroom that serves as an office for horticulture and education staff, and as a classroom.
